Róisín Annesley

Róisín Annesley is a senior member of the Victorian Bar with almost 30 years’ legal experience. Róisín practises in the areas of torts, professional negligence, insurance and professional disciplinary matters. She has a strong commercial litigation background.

Róisín brings significant legal and ethical knowledge and corporate governance experience to MACS. In her various leadership roles of and on behalf of the Victorian Bar, she has been a director of a number of companies and/or charitable trusts. Formerly she was a long serving Trustee and Director of Law Aid, a charitable trust established by the Law Institute of Victoria and the Victorian Bar Counsel, to provide assistance in civil litigation to those who would otherwise be unable to afford its costs.

Róisín is currently a Vice President of the Australian Bar Association; Chair of Lennon’s List Barristers; the immediate past President of the Victorian Bar and a former long-serving member and Chair of the Victorian Bar Ethics Committee.

Róisín is the author of The Good Conduct Guide, which provides guidance to barristers in the ethical principles of good practice.
