Will the kindergarten be onsite at the Primary School?
The kindergartens will be within the new children’s hubs currently being built. The hubs are on the same site as the primary schools.
Is kindergarten free? How many hours does my child get?
3-year-olds can access 15 hours a week of free kindergarten.
4-year-olds can access 15 hours a week of free kindergarten.

Can I enrol at more than one provider (eg. Council and MACSEYE)?
You can only receive Free Kinder at one kinder service at a time. Your MACSEYE kindergarten will ask you to sign a funded place declaration form.
If your child will also be attending a childcare service, please ensure to let the provider know that you are already claiming free kinder at your MACSEYE kindergarten. For more information, visit the Victorian Government website.
Is there a cost for after school care?
There is an out-of-pocket cost for families which is currently being finalised.
Will the kindergarten be separate from the school and school children? (i.e. will the kindergarten children have their own outdoor play space?)
The kindergarten space during school times will be solely for those enrolled as part of our program. For before and after school hours care, the kindergarten children will share the OSHC space with the school children.

I have applied for 2026 kindergarten, when will I find out if my child has been accepted?
You should receive a letter of offer within the first two weeks of September.
Is the kindergarten guaranteed to be completed by 2026?
The construction of the Children’s Hubs is progressing well and the hubs are on track to open in 2026.
